Castoro 16 is a barge provides pipeline trenching in ultra-shallow waters: 1.4 mts to 4.0 mts of the Caspian Sea using equipment machinery and systems housed on its deck and inside the hull. Castoro 16 is classification: RMRS*KE R2 TRENCHING BARGE. Trenching system includes 7 diesel hydraulic power units, 850 kw each, 1 electro hydraulic power unit 1,100 kw; with trenching equipment: 1 pulling unit, 1 trenching sled, 1 suction unit, 1 remedial machine, emergency suction unit (UDM), backfilling arm with vertical and horizontal movements 9 buoys.
