Kashagan field, located in the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea, extends over a surface area of approximately 75 kilometers by 45 kilometers. The development of Kashagan, in the harsh offshore environment of the northern part of the Caspian Sea, represents one of the largest and most complex industrial projects currently being developed anywhere in the world. ERSAI Caspian Contractor LLC has been awarded by the North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC) an engineering & construction contract for the development of the Kashagan field. This scope consists of the construction of two pipelines with a diameter of 28 inches and total length of 95 kilometers each pipeline running from the D island in the Caspian Sea to the Karabatan onshore plant in Kazakhstan. Each pipeline has an offshore length of 65 km., max. W.D. 4 m.
The scope of work includes the engineering, the conversion and the preparation of the installation vessels, the dredging, the installation, the burial and the pre-commissioning of the pipelines.
